Cake topper with a name
A number, a heart or a star with a name across it in a second colour and sticks to push into the cake. A made-to-measure cake topper in a few minutes.
Material and quantity
The calculation shows the exact price and print time, and you can download the model or a project for your printer. No sign-up.
It prints flat, face up, without supports. Two colours lie one on the other: the print stops once and the filament is changed. Wrap the sticks in food-safe film or slide them into a straw before use: printed plastic is not meant to touch food.
Cake topper with a name, a number or your own text
The tool makes a cake topper: a big number, a heart, a star or a circle with a name across it in another typeface and another colour. Just type a name of up to 20 characters and a number of up to three digits, "2" and "Olivia" for example. The width of the shape goes from 50 to 200 mm, the name may reach beyond the shape and can be moved higher or lower. A topper of the text alone, with no shape behind it, is one of the options too.
Under it the topper has one or two sticks, 30 to 100 mm long. Everything is one flat piece 2 to 4 mm thick; letters that would stick out or not touch get a backing and are joined by the tool itself. The name is raised by 0.4 to 1.2 mm and printed in a second colour, so one filament change is enough. On our print farm we print the topper in one go, and you choose both colours when ordering.
How it works
- Type the name and the number. A name or a short text and a number with it, the age of the birthday child for example. For the heart, the star and the circle no number is needed.
- Choose the shape and the typeface. A number, a heart, a star, a circle, or the text alone. The name has thirty typefaces; a script whose letters touch holds together by itself, with the others the tool joins the letters.
- Set the size and the sticks. Sliders change the width of the shape, the width of the name and its place, and the preview follows at once. There can be one stick or two; choose longer ones for a tall cake.
- Order the print or download. Next to the preview you see the size; the calculation after "Continue" shows the exact price and print time. The model and the project with the filament change are free to download, without registration.
What the tool can make
Common questions
May a printed topper touch the cake?
Printed plastic is not meant to touch food. Wrap the sticks in food-safe film or slide them into a straw before you push them in. The shape with the name stays above the cake and does not touch the cream.
How big a topper should I choose?
A shape 100 to 120 mm wide suits a cake of 20 cm. Sticks of 60 mm are enough for an ordinary cake; for a tall tiered one choose 80 to 100 mm.
What is the topper printed from?
We recommend PLA. At 3 mm the topper is light and still does not bend; it prints flat and without supports.
Do you print it in two colours?
Yes. The shape with the sticks and the name lie one on the other, so one filament change is enough. You choose both colours when ordering from the filaments we have in stock.
What if the letters do not touch the shape?
Under the name lies a wider copy of it in the colour of the shape, so letters that reach beyond the shape hold as well. Separate pieces are joined with a short bridge, and the tool tells you so.
How do I pay and how do I get the topper?
You pay from prepaid credit that you top up by card; prices are shown in Czech crowns or euros. We send the print through Packeta to a pick-up point or to an address in the EU. Order ahead of the party.
