Big letter with a name for a child's room or as a gift
The tool makes the big first letter of a name and writes the whole name on it. Just type a name of up to 20 characters: the letter is picked by itself, or you choose another one. The height goes from 60 to 200 mm and the thickness from 3 to 15 mm; from 10 mm most letters stand on a shelf by themselves, and any letter can be set into a base with a slot that is printed next to it. The big letter has three bold typefaces, the name thirty, handwriting included.
The tool places the name where the letter has the most room: across a horizontal bar, or upright along a vertical stem. It is raised by 0.4 to 2 mm and printed in a second colour. The two colours lie one on the other, so the print stops once and the filament is changed. On our print farm we print the letter in one go, and you choose both colours when ordering.
How it works
- Type the name. The big letter is the first letter of the name. If you want another one, the initial of a surname for example, type it into the second field.
- Choose the typefaces. Sans, serif or monospace for the big letter, always bold. Any of the thirty typefaces for the name.
- Set the height, the thickness and the colours. The preview shows where the name went and how big it is. Give the letter and the name a filament from those we have in stock.
- Order the print or download. Next to the preview you see the size; the calculation after "Continue" shows the exact price and print time. The model and the project with the filament change are free to download, without registration.
What the tool can make
Common questions
Where on the letter is the name written?
Where the letter has the most room. On letters with a vertical stem (E, T, L, I, K) the name runs upright along it, on wide horizontal bars across. The tool finds the place itself and the preview shows it at once.
What if the name does not fit?
On round and narrow letters (O, S, C) the name comes out smaller. If it would be lower than 4 mm, the tool says so: a taller letter, a shorter name or another typeface for the big letter helps.
Will the letter stand?
From 10 mm of thickness most letters stand on a flat surface by themselves. Letters with a narrow foot, such as P or F, are safer leaned against something or stuck to a door with double-sided tape.
What is it printed from and how many colours does it have?
We recommend PLA. The letter has two colours: the body and the name lying on it. One filament change is enough, so any printer can print it; with us you choose both colours when ordering.
How big a letter can you print?
Up to 200 mm tall; the bed of our farm is 250 × 250 mm. The preview says next to the size whether the letter fits the bed.
How do I pay and how do I get the letter?
You pay from prepaid credit that you top up by card; prices are shown in Czech crowns or euros. We send the print through Packeta to a pick-up point or to an address in the EU.
