matplace

Business terms

Valid from 1 October 2026

The terms on which we print for you. They apply to every print order placed on matplace.com.

1. Seller

The seller is matplace s.r.o., company ID 22499008, registered office Rybná 716/24, Staré Město, 110 00 Prague 1, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 417491. Contact: info@matplace.com.

These terms apply to 3D print orders placed on the website matplace.com. We print only on our own print farm in Czechia.

2. Ordering and conclusion of the contract

A signed-in customer with a verified e-mail can order. An order goes like this:

  • You upload your own model, pick a designer's model from the catalogue or use a model from a tool.
  • We check the model, orient it for printing and work out the print time, the material used and the price.
  • You choose the colour, quality, strength, number of pieces and delivery method. Before you pay, you see the total price including VAT and delivery.
  • You confirm that you agree to the terms and pay for the order from your credit. This concludes the contract.

3. What we print and what we do not

We print the model as it is. Automatic checking, repair and orientation help, but do not guarantee that the part will serve its purpose. Load-bearing and safety parts are printed at your own risk.

You are responsible for the model you upload. We do not print weapons or their parts, parts meant to circumvent the law, or models that infringe somebody else's copyright or industrial rights. Such an order is cancelled and the credit returned.

4. Price

You know the price before you order. It is made up of printer time, the material used and an order handling fee; small orders are subject to a minimum price. Prices include VAT.

For a designer's model the price includes the author's reward, which is shown separately.

Prices in the calculator and on model pages are indicative. The binding price is the one you see in the order before you pay.

5. Credit and payment

Orders are paid from prepaid credit. You top up credit by payment card through the Stripe gateway; the card details are processed by Stripe and we never see them.

When you pay for an order, the amount is held on your credit. It is charged only once the print is finished. If the print does not start or fails through our fault, all of it comes back.

Credit is for paying for matplace services. Unused credit is not paid out in cash and is forfeited when the account is deleted.

We do not offer cash on delivery. On request we send you a receipt for a credit top-up or for an order by e-mail.

6. Currency

Accounts of customers in Czechia are kept in Czech crowns, all others in euros. Before your first payment you can switch the currency on the website. The first payment fixes the currency of the account; after that you cannot change it yourself.

Prices are calculated in crowns and converted to euros at a fixed rate, rounded up to €0.10.

7. Delivery

We send the finished print by Packeta to a pickup point or to your door. We ship only to the countries of the European Union offered in the order. We do not offer pickup in person.

The print time and the estimated finish are shown with the order. When we ship, we e-mail you a link for tracking the parcel.

Delivery prices including VAT for a parcel up to 2 kg, to a pickup point and to the door respectively. An account in crowns pays the price in crowns, an account in euros the price in euros:

  • Czechia: 99 Kč and 149 Kč, or €4.00 and €6.00.
  • Slovakia: 149 Kč and 175 Kč, or €5.90 and €6.90.
  • Poland, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Greece, Lithuania: 199 Kč and 225 Kč, or €7.90 and €8.90.
  • Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Latvia: 249 Kč and 299 Kč, or €9.90 and €11.90.
  • Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Cyprus: 399 Kč and 575 Kč, or €15.90 and €22.90.
  • A parcel of 2 to 5 kg: a surcharge of 50 Kč or €2. A parcel of 5 to 15 kg, within Czechia only: a surcharge of 100 Kč or €4.
  • To Austria, Luxembourg and Ireland we deliver to the door only, to Cyprus to a pickup point only.
  • A print longer than 70 cm, or with sides adding up to more than 120 cm, cannot be shipped, and we do not take such an order.

8. Cancelling an order

You can cancel an order on its page until the print is finished. Before printing starts, we return all the credit. If the print is already running, we charge the handling fee and the part already printed and return the rest; you see the amount before you confirm.

We may cancel an order that cannot be printed or that breaches section 3. In that case all the credit is returned.

9. Withdrawal from the contract

Every print is made from your file or your settings. These are goods made to the consumer's specifications, so you cannot withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason (Section 1837(d) of the Czech Civil Code).

This does not affect your rights arising from defective performance.

10. Quality and complaints

We are liable for the print being free of defects when you receive it. A consumer may complain about a defect that shows within two years of receipt.

Small support marks, visible layers and deviations of tenths of a millimetre belong to 3D printing and are not defects.

Complaints are made by e-mail to info@matplace.com. We settle them within 30 days at the latest. The Complaints page describes the procedure in detail.

11. Recording of the print

Every print is filmed by the camera in the printer. The video shows only the print bed and the printed object, and you can watch it on the order page.

After checking it, we may publish the time-lapse video on the Matplace YouTube channel unless you untick the publishing consent when ordering. You can also refuse publishing later on the order page; the video is then deleted from YouTube. For prints made from photos we publish the video only if you tick the consent yourself.

12. Personal data

We process personal data in line with the Privacy Policy. The carrier receives only the name, address and phone number needed for delivery.

13. Disputes and final provisions

The contract is governed by Czech law, in particular the Civil Code (Act No. 89/2012 Coll.) and the Consumer Protection Act (Act No. 634/1992 Coll.). This does not deprive a consumer of the protection given by the law of the country where they live.

A consumer may resolve a dispute out of court through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz, adr.coi.cz).

An order is governed by the terms in force at the moment it is paid. We announce a substantial change of the terms on the website or by e-mail at least 14 days in advance. The Czech version of these terms is the legally binding one.
