Gingerbread with a name for the tree or a gift
The tool makes an ornament that looks like gingerbread with sugar icing: a man, a heart, a star or a tree. Type a name of up to 16 characters, pick a typeface and the icing: a wavy line, a plain line or none. The width goes from 50 to 150 mm, the thickness from 2 to 6 mm. The eyelet for a ribbon is on top and you can move it with a slider or by dragging it in the preview.
The gingerbread has two colours, one on the other: a brown base and white icing with the name, raised by 0.4 to 1.2 mm. The print stops once and the filament is changed, so any printer can do it. On our print farm we print it in one go, and you choose both colours when ordering from the filaments we have in stock. The model and the slicer project are free to download.
How it works
- Type the name. The name can have up to 16 characters. The tool scales it down so that it fits the gingerbread; a short name comes out bigger.
- Choose the shape and the icing. The man has a face, buttons and icing on his legs, the heart and the star have icing round the edge, the tree two garlands. The icing can be a wavy line, a plain line or none.
- Set the size, the eyelet and the colours. Enter the width and the thickness, move the eyelet along the outline and give both parts a filament. Brown and white are preset, but the gingerbread can just as well be red with golden icing.
- Order the print or download. Next to the preview you see the size; the calculation after "Continue" shows the exact price and print time. The model and the project with the filament change are free to download, without registration.
What the tool can make
Common questions
How long a name fits on the gingerbread?
Up to 16 characters. A longer name comes out smaller; if the letters would be lower than 3 mm, the tool says so and suggests a wider gingerbread or a shorter name. A man 90 mm wide comfortably takes 6 to 8 letters.
What is the gingerbread printed from?
We recommend PLA: it is light and hangs on a branch even on a thin ribbon. It prints flat, face up, without supports. The print is an ornament, not food.
Do you print it in two colours?
Yes. The base and the icing with the name lie one on the other, so one filament change is enough. You choose both colours when ordering from the filaments we have in stock.
Can I use the gingerbread as a gift tag?
Yes. Tie a smaller gingerbread 50 to 60 mm wide to the parcel by its eyelet, and it can go on the tree afterwards.
How do I pay and how do I get the gingerbread?
You pay from prepaid credit that you top up by card; prices are shown in Czech crowns or euros. We send the print through Packeta to a pick-up point or to an address in the EU.
