Dish in the shape of a picture
A little dish in the shape of your picture: for keys, jewellery or small change. The outline makes the wall, the drawing is cut into the floor.
Material and quantity
A finished print, as an examplelib:colour/paw-badge
The calculation shows the exact price and print time, and you can download the model or a project for your printer. No sign-up.
It prints bottom down, without supports. An engraved picture is a one-colour print for any printer; a picture in colours is inlaid in the floor and needs a printer that changes filament by itself.
A trinket dish in the shape of your own picture
The tool makes a little dish whose wall follows the outline of a picture: a paw, a heart, a leaf or anything you upload as PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG or pick from the library. Instead of a picture you can type a name. The width goes from 50 to 200 mm and the height from 8 to 40 mm; the wall is 1.6 mm thick and the floor 2 mm, and both can be changed.
The drawing inside the outline is cut into the floor, so the dish stays a one-colour print for any printer and for our farm. The picture in the floor can also be left out, or inlaid in filament colours; a coloured floor needs a printer that changes filament by itself, though, and cannot be ordered from us yet.
How it works
- Pick a picture or a silhouette. Upload your own picture, choose a motif from the library, or type a name. The background is removed automatically and the outline is smoothed.
- Set the size. Change the width and the height of the dish with the sliders or by dragging the arrows in the preview. The distance of the picture from the wall decides how much room stays round the drawing.
- Choose what goes into the floor. The drawing cut two layers deep, the drawing in colours, or a plain floor. With a one-colour silhouette the floor is always plain.
- Order the print or download. Next to the preview you see the size; the calculation after "Continue" shows the exact price and print time. The model and the slicer project are free to download, without registration.
What the tool can make
Common questions
What kind of picture suits a dish?
A shape with a clear outline and no thin spikes: an animal paw, a heart, a leaf, a cloud, a star. Nothing fits into narrow tips, and the wall is weaker there.
What of the picture is cut into the floor?
All the colours of the picture except the one that covers the largest area. With a paw in a circle the circle stays as the floor and the paw is cut into it.
What is the dish printed from?
We recommend PLA, and PETG for a bathroom or a sunny windowsill. It prints bottom down and without supports.
Can the picture in the floor be in colour?
Yes, with the option "In colours". The colours are inlaid in the floor in the same layer as the plastic round them, so only a printer that changes filament by itself (AMS, MMU, ACE) can print it. You download the model colour by colour; such a print cannot be ordered from our farm yet.
How big a dish should I choose?
For rings and earrings 80 mm is enough, for keys and small change 100 to 120 mm. A height of 12 to 15 mm keeps small things in and does not get in the way when you take them out.
How do I pay and how do I get the dish?
You pay from prepaid credit that you top up by card; prices are shown in Czech crowns or euros. We send the print through Packeta to a pick-up point or to an address in the EU.
