Description

A planter for small succulents (the hole is about 59mm diameter and depth) with drainage, detachable lava and an optional inner pot.The inner pot allows to extract the plant and replace the lava later. No multi-color printer required, no supports. How to print:choose the rock option (with a cave or with a simple hole in the bottom),print the rock (3 walls, 5 bottom and 5 top layers, optional scarf seam),print the lava (auto-rotate it, see the 3-rd photo), use brim.optionally, print the inner pot (choose the cave/simple version corresponding to the rock you chose).glue the lava to the rock before planting, if you want to (I didn't).put some expanded clay on the bottom before planting. My print settings:I've used PLA/PLA Silk and PETG with 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height.3 walls, 5 bottom and 5 top layers, any infill (e.g. dynamic cube support for the rock, no infill for the lava).Turn on brim for lava, or it may easily tear off. I've used inner brim with minimal gap and "EFC" outline.A scarf joint seam may look good on the rock, but it requires careful calibration. It worked perfectly with PLA in my tests, not so good with PETG on the pot hole bottom. The optional inner pot may be easily printed in "vase mode", I've used 5 bottom layers and 0.7 mm outer perimeter width for it.Any feedback is welcome!
