Popis
I made this model from scratch since I was not able to modify Scotts files in fusion to have it work with my phone and case (not good at fusion) so I studied his design and replicated its aesthetics in OnShape. The phone cutout dimensions are for a Pixel 8 pro with a Quad Lock Mag case, the charging puck cutout is dimensioned for the one I bought from Amazon. There is no provision for wireless headphone charging on the top (since I don't currently own a pair that supports it) instead I added a large pocket to reduce filament use and to hide any extra wire length.Since the Pixel does not have a built in Stand By mode I downloaded one of the many free apps that offer the same functionality as Stand By mode on iOS (activated when charging horizontally) Added STEP files for easier Remixing and the link to the OnShape document if you're an OnShape user. Notes for printing:I printed it with supports but needed to add a support blocker to the rear section (refer to pic below), 4 walls, 4 top and bottom layers, 8% cubic infill, 0.2mm layer height on my Ender 3 V2. I also added a support blocker to the wire cutout in the pocket as this will not be visible. Updates - 11/22/2024:Made the push slot wider so your fingers have more spaceUpdated the STL files. Updates - 11/11/2024:Finally Finished all the printing ( on an Ender 3 V2, it's slow ok) added pictures. The push handle was too thin and flexible, so it's been thiccened.Updated the Push Part file with the thiccened one. Updated the translucent picture to show the Push Part Travel. Updates - 11/9/2024: Centered the Charing puck cutout.Made the Push slot cutout even deeper to help eject the phone easier.Updated pictures again.Updates - 11/8/2024: Made alterations to the Push slot and related geometries so that it no longer sits too high when the phone is docked. Will confirm functionality by printing the updated version as well. Added a 0.8mm Chamfer on the bottom face to minimize elephants foot.Tilted the front face more, went form 73 to 69 degrees. Reduced the height of the rear of the dock to make it closer to Scott Yu Jan's design (its more sleek)Fixed sketch relations in OnShape to allow for parameter changes, without having to redefine the reference sketch. Added fillets to the wire pocket to reduce layer bulging.Among other changes too (I lost track of them lol)Updated the pictures to reflect Changes to model. Put the old STLs and STEPs into the folder called “Old Version (Bad Eject Slot)”Work in Progress: Working on No case version, coming soon. Will add provisions for camera bump clearance for pixel phones with no case, or a case that still maintains the camera bump.
