Its stable enough to type on and looks pretty good too.There are two bases and two retainers to choose from. The taller base is better for a tablet and should be combined with Keyboard Stand - Retainer for TABLET.To use as a Keyboard stand use the shorter base and Keyboard Stand - Retainer.Both bases have been fixed so getting the bolt into them is now a lot easier.
