Popis
This fast-printing phone stand has been specifically designed to print in 'vase mode' (and 0.8mm line width) to allow for very fast printing and low filament usage, whilst maximising strength and stability.
Key features:
• Very fast to print - Only takes around 90 minutes using an entry level printer, and 40 minutes using a more advanced machine (eg. high-speed CoreXY printer).
• Uses minimal filament.
• Strong and stable design.
• Easy to neatly route a data/charging cable via an integrated channel.
• Standard size version and XL version (for larger phones or those with cases up to 17.5mm thick).
• Doubles as an easy wrap-around cable storage solution (cable clip included).
I hope you find the design useful and I would love to see some photos of your prints if you want to share makes. I was really happy to find out that my design has won 2nd place in the Cults3D Phones and Tablet Design Contest here. Also, please check out my other fast printing designs, on printables and cults and keep checking back as I have more on the way soon.
The models featured in the images were printed using Prusament in Galaxy Black, Galaxy Purple, Lime Green and Pineapple Yellow.
3D PRINTING SETTINGS
The models have been designed to print using 'vase mode'. They can also be printed in non-vase mode, but this will take longer and introduce a seam.
The model has been designed to print best in vase mode using a 0.8mm line width. I use a 0.32mm layer height, as I find this gives a good balance between print quality and speed.
As this model prints in 'vase mode', no supports or infill are required.
The cable clip should be printed in non-vase mode.
Please make sure your 3D printer is designed to work safely using whichever settings you decide to use.
