Three parts without supports: the base, the post standing on its foot and the silhouette lying flat. The post is pushed through the base from below and its cone-shaped foot holds it even when ties are pulled off upwards. The silhouette goes into the slot by its foot; a drop of glue fixes both for good.

Hair-tie holder with your picture or name

The tool makes a stand for hair ties, scrunchies and elastic headbands. The ties go from above over a post with a rounded top; its diameter goes from 10 to 30 mm and its height from 40 to 150 mm. Behind the post stands a silhouette of your picture, or a name, 50 to 150 mm wide, so the holder is an ornament for a shelf or a bathroom as well.

Upload the picture as an SVG or a simple high-contrast image, pick it from the library of silhouettes, or type a name in one of thirty typefaces. The holder is printed in three parts without supports: the base, the post standing and the silhouette lying flat, so both its faces are clean. The post is pushed through the base from below, the silhouette into the slot by its foot, and each part can have its own colour.

How it works

  1. Choose a picture or type a name. A silhouette from the library, your own SVG or image, or a name of up to 16 characters. An uploaded picture takes precedence over the name.
  2. Set the post. Its height by how many ties it should take, its diameter by their size. For thin ties 14 mm is enough, for scrunchies 20 to 25 mm.
  3. Set the silhouette. Change its width with the slider or by dragging the arrow in the preview, its thickness from 2.4 to 5 mm.
  4. Order a print or download. Next to the preview you see the dimensions; the calculation after "Continue" shows the precise price. When ordering you pick the colour of the base and of the silhouette; the model and the slicer project are free to download.

Common questions

How many ties fit on the post?

A thin tie takes about 4 mm of height, a scrunchie 15 to 20 mm. A post 90 mm tall therefore takes around twenty thin ties or five scrunchies.

Does it tip over when I pull a tie off?

The base is at least 70 × 60 mm and 8 mm high. The post goes through it from below and its cone-shaped foot holds it even when a tie is pulled upwards. Hold it when you pull a tie over the top; on a smooth surface self-adhesive anti-slip dots help.

Does the silhouette hold in the base by itself?

Yes, the foot sits in a slot 6 mm deep with a quarter of a millimetre of play on each side. To be sure, put a drop of glue into the slot.

What picture works?

A silhouette with a wide bottom: a rabbit, a cat, a crown, a unicorn. A shape that touches the ground in one point gets a wider foot so that it stands.

Can the base, the post and the silhouette have different colours?

Yes, they are three separate parts and each is printed in its own filament. You pick the colours when ordering, from those loaded in the printers right now.

How do I pay and how do I get the holder?

You pay from prepaid credit that you top up by card; prices are shown in Czech crowns or in euros. We send the print through Packeta to a pick-up point or to an address in the EU.
