Two parts without supports: the base bottom down, the silhouette lying flat. It is made for a candle in a jar, not for a bare flame: plastic has no business next to fire. The glass is warm at the bottom, so choose PETG.
Candle stand with your picture or name
The tool makes a decorative base for a candle in a jar. The jar sits in a seat 3 mm deep that is a millimetre wider than the jar, so it does not slide; the diameter of the jar goes from 40 to 130 mm. Behind the jar rises a silhouette of your picture, or a name, 50 to 160 mm wide: a tree, a deer, a house, a word.
Upload the picture as an SVG or a simple high-contrast image, pick it from the library of silhouettes, or type a name in one of thirty typefaces. The stand is printed in two parts without supports; the silhouette lying flat, so both its faces are clean, and it is pushed into the slot behind the seat by its foot. Each part can have its own colour. The stand is for a candle in a jar or an LED candle, not for a bare flame.
How it works
- Measure the jar. Measure the diameter of the bottom of the candle jar with a ruler. The seat comes out a millimetre wider.
- Choose a picture or type a name. A silhouette from the library, your own SVG or image, or a name of up to 16 characters. An uploaded picture takes precedence over the name.
- Set the silhouette. Change its width with the slider or by dragging the arrow in the preview, its thickness from 2.4 to 5 mm.
- Order a print or download. Next to the preview you see the dimensions; the calculation after "Continue" shows the precise price. When ordering you pick the material and the colour of the base and of the silhouette; the model and the slicer project are free to download.
What the tool can make
Common questions
Is a plastic stand safe next to a candle?
Only for a candle in a jar or an LED candle. The glass keeps the flame away from the plastic, but the bottom of the jar is warm; that is why we recommend PETG, which softens at about 80 °C, not PLA (55 °C). A bare candle or a tea light without glass does not belong on a plastic stand, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
How big a jar does the stand take?
The seat can be set to a diameter of 40 to 130 mm. The base is 8 mm high and solid, so it carries a heavy three-wick candle as well; those are about 100 mm across, measure yours.
Does the silhouette hold in the base by itself?
Yes, the foot sits in a slot 6 mm deep with a quarter of a millimetre of play on each side. To be sure, put a drop of glue into the slot.
What picture works?
A silhouette with a wide bottom: a tree, a deer, a house, a heart. A shape that touches the ground in one point gets a wider foot so that it stands.
Can the base and the silhouette have different colours?
Yes, they are two separate parts and each is printed in its own filament. You pick the colours when ordering, from those loaded in the printers right now.
How do I pay and how do I get the stand?
